Robert J Moraca, MD
Dr. Moraca is a cardiothoracic surgeon who offers expertise in pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), complex coronary artery revascularization, endovascular and open aortic surgery, transcatheter aortic valve repair (TAVR), arrhythmia surgery, valve repair, and heart and lung transplantation. In addition, he practices minimally invasive approaches to valvular heart disease and atrial fibrillation.
Dr. Moraca has been recognized for his research by several organizations, including receiving the Patterson Surgical Research Grant and being honored with a research grant from the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) for the study of ECMO. He is a funded co-investigator for the National Institutes of Health and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored several book chapters. Dr. Moraca is also the Vice President of the Eastern Cardiothoracic Surgical Society.
